4:47PM: The first commercial involving a man getting hit in crotch. Thanks Doritos. First of many?
4:49PM: Maybe Troy Palamolo needs to gets some Kareem Abdul Jabar googles, if his contacts are giving him problems.
4:51PM: Funny Conan O’Brien Bud Light commercial. Funnier after being in Japan and seeing what American actor shill for abroad.
4:53PM: The Cardinals’ defense is a joke. This game is going to be a blow-out. (Prediction for the final score: Steelers 31, Cards 14…see how it holds up).
4:57PM: Roethlesburger doesn’t seem nearly as nervous as his first Super Bowl…he’s already completed a pass this game!
5:01PM: End of first quarter. It looks like the Steelers wanted to do some trickeration, with faking a reverse, but faked each other out.
5:02PM: Anna Lucia (from LOST!) is in the new Fast and Furious movie! (Three Fast, Thrice Furious!)
5:07PM: Danica Patrick in a Go Daddy commercial….can’t they come up with something more risque? (yes, there’s implied lesbianism, but it was subtle, at least subtle by Go Daddy standards).
5:10PM: I’m sure all the VIPs at the Super Bowl are really enjoyingg their stay in Tampa lol.
5:13PM: Budweiser clydesdale horse drama! Something for the whole family.
5:14PM: New Star Trek movie…I’m not sure want to think. I’m a nerd, but not that big a nerd…

5:22PM: How exactly does Cars.com give you confidence in buying a car? Half the people posting are shady used car dealers and the other half are people (like me) trying to wrench every buck out of selling their car themselves rather than to a dealer for cheap.
5:33PM: This game is at a pretty slow pace…Lots of penalties…not too much to write about at the second. At least I just learned what the rule for chop blocks is…
5:35PM: Even with talking babies, I think E*Trade is going to have trouble convincing people to invest in the stock market.

every year there are commercials with crotch-hitting jokes…is this proven to be the most effective advertising strategy? (When people think of our product, we want them to think “crotch injury!”)
Or is it like an ad agency version of the “Penis” game. Instead of seeing who can say “Penis” the loudest, trying to see who can make the most expensive crotch-hit commercial?

Off-topic…but another cool thing in sports today…Nadal and Federer played another epic grand slam final. I wanna watch that too.

I wish I could use Hulu, I hear all the commercials are on there. Damn the stupid rules regarding streaming sites and media rights around the world.
