Video Blog (aka attack of the lame!)

Here’s a video blog! For added fun, count how many times I say “umm” or “uhh”.

The video is after the jump, so that the since I can’t get I’m too lazy to fix the autoplay right now.

pretty awesome intro. one thing about TCU. The last 10 years they are always just outside the BCS “bubble,” then they lose one game umm, I don’t know SMU!?!

Seriously, if you can be ranked in the top 25 and lose to a program like SMU maybe you’re overhyped. So while TCU is in the top 25 quite often, do they deserve it always? They put up really good numbers 11-1, 10-2, etc and ppl have taken notice, but do you really deserve it when your schedule looks like this:

    New Mexico
    Stephen F. Austin
    Stanford
    Southern Methodist
    Oklahoma
    San Diego State
    Colorado State
    Brigham Young
    Wyoming
    UNLV
    Utah
    Air Force
    Boise State

Now you see the ranked teams are Oklahoma, BYU, Utah, and Boise State. Now go look at the schedules for Boise State…

    Idaho State
    Bowling Green
    Oregon
    Louisiana Tech
    Southern Miss
    Hawaii
    San Jose State
    New Mexico State
    Utah State
    Idaho
    Nevada
    Fresno State
    TCU

Now you start to get the picture. Had Texas, USC, Florida, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Penn State played those schedules good chance they go undefeated or one loss.

Plus in 10 of those games their starters wouldn’t of even had to of played in the 3rd and 4th quarters…BTW your cat is cute.

one more thought. you’re right and wrong about the strength of schedule argument. they are set years before the season, but the lion’s share of the games are composed of conference games which are predictable.

you can do one of two things. punish a team for a playing in a strong conference (treating all losses of all teams the same), or punish a team for playing a weak conference (undefeated season does not necessarily mean a BCS game or national championship).

that’s the crux of the issue. i guess well just have to agree on a playoff system.

  5. can you make it so the video doesn’t automatically play? I can’t take the lameness!

I shouldn’t play when the page loads…at least it doesn’t for me…might clear your browser cache or something…but otherwise, I’ll look at it some more when I get home from school.
